Initial findings...

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries next divorce hearing is this month. But the divorce is taking longer than the marriage even lasted. Why is that? Neither side can agree on calling the relationship an annulment or calling it a divorce.

The televised nuptials.

Kris Humphries, who is being perceived as the victim by the media, demands an annulment due to his Christian beliefs. Coming from a very religious background and family, Humpries has said that he believes in being married once. He wants to annul the marriage in the idea that it never happened, therefore allowing his next marriage to be counted as his first. Humphries wants an annulment on the account of fraud. He claims that he was taken advantage of and, to the Kardashian clan, the marriage was for publicity (and the 17 million dollars that the televised wedding brought in). A divorce would tarnish his image as a strong Christian man, in his beliefs.

The televised proposal.

Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, wants a divorce (which would be her second one). Frankly, Kardashian can''t afford calling the relationship an annulment, because it would basically agree that the marriage was in fact a fraud.

The televised tears about the divorce.

I don't see how Humprhies can't win this one. The relationship was televised. The proposal was televised. The marriage was televised. And the divorce announcement was televised. All on the Kardashian's reality show. Humprhies fought to keep his marriage intact, while Kardashian didn't. The first Humpries heard of the divorce was the day the media also was informed.

We'll see how this plays out and how both sides can repair their image. The divorce is speculated not to be finalized until 2013.

The tactics Kelsey and I plan on using are tweets, blogs and other social media outlets from the two pertaining to the marriage, and from others (Khloe, Kourtney, Kris Jenner, Kanye West, etc.). We also plan on analyzing entertainment articles and the reality show. Some other celebrity divorce scandals we will be examining will be Arnold Shwarzenegger/Maria Shriver and Charlie Sheen/Denise Richards.

Volunteering practically for the first time did not work in Kardashian's image favor. Many were critical.

Kim Kardashian's 72 day marriage to that one guy...

Kelsey and I are analyzing the most traumatizing event in U.S. history - Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce, obviously. The rapid romance intrigued reality hungry fans as they watched the courtship turn to marriage in less than a year. The marriage was even shorter - approximately 72 days. Considering about four million people watched their wedding special extravaganza air on the E! Network, the nation was equally obsessed with their divorce.

As far as image goes, Kim was portrayed as the diva monster giving up on a marriage while Kris was the innocent, yet dumb, guy to drink her poison. As the divorce played out, the social media realm was fluttered with verbal wars between the two and other close to the situation.

What about now? Well Kim seems to have won back the heart of American by dating Kanye West on her reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. While...wait, what's his name? The guy that married Kim Kardashian for 72 days is irrelevant.

Oso Goals

Our main goal for Oso's is to bring in the Baylor demographic and have them remain loyal to the brand. We want to increase their audience on Facebook, Twitter and create a following on Instagram. Also, a big goal of ours is to refurbish their out dated web page and create an attractive and informative site. Our group really wants to take advantage of the Art Briles connection, and use that as an edge to attract the Baylor audience.

We love Oso's, and we want everyone else to love them, too!

Oso's Frozen Yogurt

I am a senior at Baylor University double majoring in Journalism - Public Relations and also Film and Digital Media. For an upper-level PR class I am currently taking - PR Media Programming - we were assigned a group project to assist a business with public relations and social media.

My group, consisting of three girls, chose a local business called Oso's - a frozen yogurt bar. The work is already fun, because it is a fun business. I am in charge of handling the photography and videography for our campaign, PSAs (public service announcements), etc. Natalie is the write and Katie is the editor and layout designer. We are really looking forward to spicing up the already interesting business and bringing in a new demographic to aid their success.

Expect an update soon about what we are working on this week.
